There’s always room for another good pizza place in town, especially one that makes pizzas the way I like them — thin, crisp crusts with no flop (so Neapolitan, Detroit-style, and deep-dish are fine but I’d rather have New Haven-style, tavern-style, or NY/NJ pizza every time). Happily, Alfreda’s sourdough pies are right up my alley. Try a Tomato pie (I think it’s a Jersey thing?) with crushed tomato, garlic, chili and a sprinkle of pecorino romano — the slices go down easy without all that mozzarella weighing things down.
