Ahead of opening day, Eater DC put Alfreda on its list of five new pizza places to know about around D.C. The entry introduces chef Russell Blue Smith — a Wolfgang Puck protege with years at the Source and Cut — stepping out of fine dining for a pizza project of his own in the heart of Dupont, with a sourdough starter behind the New York-style crust and a wine and cocktail list from fellow Puck alum Evan Moore.
